Lend a Hand, Make a Difference
Volunteering just 4 hours, one day a week is very helpful to the Food Bank!
Volunteers are always needed at our locations. Some specialized skills that would be appreciated are:
- The ability to drive a van, box truck, or pickup and lift 40 lbs..
- The ability to operate a forklift or pallet jack.
- The ability to input to a computer database.
We use volunteers to act as shoppers for clients, stock the pantry, or work in our warehouses sorting or bagging food. We also have volunteer drivers who pick up donated items from local grocery stores using our vans and trucks. Service hours are the published location open times, with an additional two hours of preparation time before opening and an hour after closing time for clean-up.
We do background checks on all drivers.
